IL-1α (rat) ELISA Kit: Colorimetric Assay for Quantitative measurement of rat IL-1 alpha in serum, plasma & cell culture supernatants. Detection Range: 15 pg/ml - 8000 pg/ml. 100 assays. BioVision’s rat IL-1 alpha ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of rat IL-1 alpha. This assay employs an antibody specific for IL-1 alpha coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and IL-1 alpha present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-rat IL-1 alpha antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-1 alpha bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm. This ELISA kit shows no cross-reactivity with the following cytokines tested: rat CINC-2, CINC-3, CNTF, Fractalkine, IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, GM-CSF, IFN-γ, Leptin, Lix, MCP-1, MIP-3α, β-NGF, TIMP-1, TNF-α. The minimum detectable dose of IL-1 alpha is typically less than 15 pg/ml. Detection Range: 15 pg/ml – 8000 pg/ml. The intra-Assay reproducibility is CV<10% & inter-Assay is CV<12%. |
