β-catenin (human) ELISA Kit: Colorimetric Assay for Quantitative measurement of human β-catenin in serum, biological fluids, cell culture media and cell/tissue lysates. Detection Range: 0.156 – 10 ng/ml. 100 assays. β-catenin (cadherin-associated protein beta, 88 kDa) is a dual function protein, regulating the coordination of cell–cell adhesion and gene transcription via the Wnt signaling pathway. Mutations and overexpression of β-catenin are associated with many cancers, including hepatocellular, colorectal, lung, breast, ovarian and endometrial cancers. BioVision’s human β-catenin ELISA Kit is based on the standard principle of a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Human β-catenin antibody is coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and β-catenin present in a sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. An HRP-conjugate reagent is added subsequently. After washing away the unbound antibody/HRP conjugates, HRP substrate TMB is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow color is proportional to the human β-catenin captured onto the plate. This ELISA kit shows no species cross-reactivity. Detection Range: 0.156 – 10 ng/ml. |
