Cortisol (human/mouse/rat) ELISA Kit: Rapid & convenient colorimetric assay for quantitative measurement of human, mouse, rat cortisol. Sensitivity: 1 ng/ml and detection range: 5 ng/ml to 480 ng/ml. 100 assays.  BioVision’s Cortisol Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) Kit is an in vitro assay for the quantitative measurement of Cortisol in serum and plasma. Cortisol is a steroid hormone released from the adrenal cortex in response to the hormone ACTH. It increases blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and suppresses the immune system. Cortisol acts through specific intracellular receptors and has effects on numerous physiologic systems, including immune system, glucose-counter regulation, vascular tone, substrate utilization and bone metabolism. It exists in the blood as either a free form or bound to corticosteroid-binding globulin (CBG). The amount of Cortisol present in serum undergoes diurnal variation, with the highest levels present in the early morning and lower levels at night. BioVision’s Cortisol ELISA kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay kit. The assay employs an antibody specific for cortisol coated on a 96-well plate. Cortisol in a sample or a HRP molecule which has Cortisol covalently attached to it is bound to the wells by immobilized antibody in a competitive manner. After a simultaneous incubation, the excess reagents are washed and a TMB substrate is added to the wells. Color develops in proportion to the amount of bound Cortisol HRP conjugate, and the intensity is inversely proportional to the concentration of Cortisol in the sample. Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm. Sensitivity of the kit is 1 ng/ml and detection range is from 5 ng/ml to 480 ng/ml. The cross-reactivity of this ELISA assay is 6.8% for prednisolone, 4.22% for cortisone, and <0.1% for other hormones, including 11-deoxycortisol, estradiol, testosterone, and progesterone. The intra-assay reproducibility as measured by the coefficient of variation (CV) is < 8 % & inter-assay has CV < 12 %.

C-Peptide (human/mouse/rat) EIA Kit: Colorimetric Assay for Quantitative Determination of C-Peptide in Serum, Plasma, Cell culture supernatants etc. Detection range: 0.1-1000 ng/ml. 100 assays.BioVision’s C-Peptide Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA) Kit is an in vitro quantitative assay for detecting C-Peptide peptide based on the principle of Competitive Enzyme Immunoassay. The microplate in the kit is pre-coated with anti-rabbit secondary antibody. After a blocking step and incubation of the plate with anti- C-Peptide antibody, both biotinylated C-Peptide peptide and peptide standard or targeted peptide in samples interacts competitively with the C-Peptide antibody. Uncompeted (bound) biotinylated C-Peptide peptide then interacts with Streptavidin-horseradish peroxidase (SAHRP), which catalyzes a color development reaction. The intensity of colorimetric signal is directly proportional to the amount of biotinylated peptide-SA-HRP complex and inversely proportional to the amount of C-Peptide peptide in the standard or samples. This is due to the competitive binding to C-Peptide antibody between biotinylated C-Peptide peptide and peptides in standard or samples. A standard curve of known concentration of C-Peptide peptide can be established and the concentration of C-Peptide peptide in the samples can be calculated accordingly. EIA-CPE-1 only detects C-peptide, not Insulin A or B chain. The minimum detectable concentration of C-Peptide is 772 pg/ml. The detection range for the kit is 0.1-1,000 ng/ml. The intra-Assay reproducibility is CV<10% & inter-Assay is CV<12%.

DPP4 (mouse) ELISA Kit: Colorimetric Assay for Quantitative measurement of mouse DPP 4 in Serum, Plasma & Cell culture supernatants. Detection Range: 0.45 ng/ml - 100 ng/ml. 100 assays. BioVision’s Mouse DPP IV ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of mouse DPP IV. This assay employs an antibody specific for DPP IV coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and DPP IV present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-mouse DPP IV antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of DPP IV bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm. The minimum detectable dose of DPP IV is typically less than 0.45 ng/ml. Detection Range: 0.45 ng/ml - 100 ng/ml. The intra-Assay reproducibility is CV<10% & inter-Assay is CV<12%. This ELISA kit shows no cross-reactivity with the following cytokines tested: Mouse CD30, L CD30, T CD40, CRG-2, CTACK, CXCL16, Eotaxin, Eotaxin-2, Fas Ligand, Fractalkine, GCSF, GM-CFS, IFN-γ, IGFBP-3, IGFBP-5, IGFBP-6, IL-1 α, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-3, IL-3 Rb, IL-4, IL-5, IL-9, IL-10, IL-12 p40/p70, IL-12 p70, IL-13, IL-17, KC, Leptin R, LEPTIN(OB), LIX, L-Selectin, Lymphotactin, MCP-1, MCP-5, M-CSF, MIG, MIP-1α, MIP-1γ, MIP-2, MIP-3β, MIP-3α, PF-4, P-Selectin, RANTES, SCF, SDF-1α, TARC, TCA-3, TECK, TIMP-1, TNF RI, TNF RII, TPO, VCAM-1, VEGF.

EGF (human) ELISA Kit: Colorimetric Assay for Quantitative measurement of human EGF in serum, plasma, urine & cell culture supernatants. Detection Range: 4.7-300 pg/ml. 100 assays.BioVision’s human EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) ELISA Kit is based on the standard sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technology. This assay employs a monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for EGF coated on a 96-well plate. Standards (E. Coli, N971-R1023) and test samples are added to the wells and EGF present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for EGF is added subsequently. After washing away the unbound biotinylated antibody with PBS or TBS buffer, avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added to the wells. The wells are again washed with PBS or TBS buffer to remove the unbound conjugates. HRP substrate TMB is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow color is proportional to the human EGF captured onto the plate. This ELISA kit shows no cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins. Detection Range: 4.7 pg/ml – 300 pg/ml. Sensitivity: < 1 pg/ml.
